dc.description.abstractIn the fourth industrial revolution era, the internet offers many benefits, especially for information, communication, and social interaction. However, internet addiction has become a public health concern when internet usage is excessive and uncontrolled. This study aims to determine the factors associated with internet addiction. A cross-sectional study was conducted among the Z generation in Malaysia. A total of 384 respondents were selected using the convenience sampling method. A set of questionnaires were used for data collection. Data were analysed using SPSS. A Pearson Correlation was performed to determine the association between lifestyle and mental health factors with internet addiction. The findings of this study revealed that there were significant associations between lifestyle and mental health. In conclusion, the significant factors associated with internet addiction were lifestyle and mental health, including depression, anxiety, and stress.en_US
