Education 4.0 (Edu 4.0) introduced the agenda of Malaysia Higher Education 4.0 (MyHE 4.0) in higher education, related to online curriculum development and a more creative delivery method. In line with MyHE 4.0, this study aims to propose a model for the design and development process specifically for online Arabic language learning based on previous studies from 2016 to 2020. The study used an analysis method of literature review to gather some information from the relevant studies. The results presented a proposed research framework consisting of several learning theories, design models, and systematic procedures to design and develop online Arabic language learning. The proposed research framework is expected to be one of the most important references to researchers for Arabic language learning as well as for other foreign/third languages.en_US
