Nevertheless, employees at all levels need to feel secure in expressing their opinions and discomfort freely within their organisation. It is common to notice that employees continue to be silent even though they have fascinating ideas in an organisation poorly embedded with a culture of openness and appreciation. Perhaps, forbids potential use of dynamics innovative thoughts to magnify organisational performance. Through literature review, we could notice numerous conceptual and empirical reports from various workplace and situations comprehending causes and effects of employee voice behaviour at individual, team and organisation levels. Leadership has long been known as an impetus in encourage employees to communicate effectively. The growing interest in employee voice behaviour signifies the importance of the present workplace. Blending different dimensions besides leadership to address workplace issues is being aggressively premeditated as the body of knowledge is not saturated, evolving, and requires research direction from multiple perspectives. Therefore, this article synthesises existing literature, recognises and highlights the psychological mechanisms to hasten employee voice behaviour. A conceptual framework and propositions for research presented. |
