Déjà Vu Methode de Francais (Niveau 1)

Abstract

Déjà-Vu is the first French Textbook (Level 1) from the university’s French Unit. This textbook is designed for students who enroll in the university’s French course as a mean of assistance in mastering the foundation of French communication skills. In producing Déjà-Vu, the Common European Framework of Reference for Languages (CEFRL) A1 scale was utilised as a reference. We genuinely hope that with the help of this textbook, the students would be able to interact in French, at least at the basic level, among acquaintances and the native speakers. There are FIVE chapters covering the syllabus of French language level I. Overall, Déjà-Vu addresses ways of greetings and introducing oneself, family, and friends. Additionally, this book includes beginner-friendly basic French grammar. For further assistance, the book also provides guidance in the form of simple communication dialogue related to numbers and time. Exercises are also provided to enhance students’ understanding of the language.
