The emergence of discernible patterns in the convergence of online digital media and integrated reporting became apparent in 2023, following initial research conducted in 2000. Several countries, including Italy, Spain, and the United Arab Emirates, made noteworthy contributions during the year 2021. This research area is dominated by influential domains such as Business, Management, Accounting, and Computer Science, with articles being the primary mode of publication. An academic paper titled “Integrated reporting: On the need for broadening out and opening up,” written by Brown and Dillard in 2014, has received significant scholarly recognition with a total of 255 citations. Relevant themes in this domain encompass “integrated reporting,” “content analysis,” and “communication.” The analysis focuses on the ever-changing nature of the interdisciplinary field and underscores the increasing significance of studying the connections between online digital media and integrated reporting. These connections could have significant consequences in different domains and industries. © The Author(s), under exclusive license to Springer Nature Switzerland AG 2024. |
